Course Description
This course provides instruction in blood/specimen collection techniques and handling. This course will prepare the student to draw blood specimens from patients for testing and/or analyzing blood. The student should be prepared to take the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). ***** Enrollment Eligibility: A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) is required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. ***** Additional Registration Paperwork: Bring your driver's license and Social Security Card to the first class. Additional requirements include a criminal background check, drug screening, and immunization records.
