Course Requirements

Enrollment & Eligibility Requirements

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC) is required.

  2. Age requirement: must be at least 17 years old on or before the official end date of the class.

  3. Students must be a North Carolina EMT, NREMT or other State EMS credential, with preferably a minimum of 6 months of verifiable field experience. Proof of this requirement may be provided by a letter from a chief officer or pay stubs.

  4. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

  5. Immunization records are required.
